Friday Linkies - March 22

Sorry for the second post of the day. If you didn't see my earlier post, I have some fonts available for download because today is my birthday!

This is what else I've been up to this week:

I love where I live. I stopped at a gas station/convenience store to get some breakfast since today is a workday. It's unseasonably cold here, and when I parked, I noticed that there were six cars running in the parking lot with no drivers. Everyone was inside getting their morning coffee. I love that I live somewhere where people trust each other :)

In social studies this week, we focused on the economy of the New England colonies. The culminating activity involved students making a shop sign for a colonial job of their choice. I got some really good ones!

March Madness has begun! Although my team didn't get in the NCAA tournament, they are still in the NIT. So after a birthday sushi dinner, we are going to tonight's game for dessert. They have the best ice cream cones :)

We had our third quarter No Late Work Club celebration this week, and it was very successful! {Here} is the post about that.

Lastly, my good coworker friend came to school to visit yesterday after her bout with encephalitis left her without much of a memory. She still has not completely regained her memory, but her personality has come back and she remembered me :) We are hopeful that she'll be able to return to work in the fall. I miss her so much, even though our paths don't cross much in this new building :(

And then I came home these beauties...

  3. Hahaha......when I read No Late Work Club, I thought you mean staff members who weren't late to work! I'm dying laughing here! What a great idea for your students though.
