  1. I just found your blog and LOVE it!!!! I have taught kindergarten for 14 years and am moving to 5th grade this year. I will be teaching all the ELA and part of the social studies. In years past in kindergarten, my kids had pen pals with a class somewhere else. We used this to study social studies and authentic writing. Would you be interested in letting your class be pen pals with my kids???? We also Skyped so the kids to really talk to their pen pal. I'd also love any ideas. I'm going to look through your blog today.

P.S. My blog is still in kindergarten mode. I am in the process of updating it. I'm going to let me kids help me come up with a new name.

    1. There should be a button so you can link it up. I'm not sure what name or email you want me to use.

  6. I love your blog. I was wondering if you could increase the brag tag Welcome to grade to 7th and 8th. We used these in 5th and 6th grade this year and I am hoping to talk the 7th grade teacher into it for next year. It really got more students reading. We even created another tag called the golden reader tag if a student earned all 10 tags (20 books). This was a great challenge for goal oriented students. We also did the book brackets this year and had great success with getting kids don't like reading. Thank you so much for all your great ideas.

  7. I have tried in vain for the last hour to recreate this great chart. Unfortunately I have not been even close to successful. Are they available in TPT? I would be more than willing to purchase them.
