Taught myself how to make paracord bracelets with this {tutorial}. Thought that my fifth graders might like to earn one. Side note: These are in my school colors, which happen to be the colors of one of our rival universities. My seven-year-old, upon seeing this bracelet said, "Don't you know those are colors you hate?!" I replied, "They are my school's colors." Her response? "Maybe you should switch schools..." LOVE HER!!

ReplyDeleteI love what your daughter said. My rival university is burnt orange. We live next to a town that uses that color for EVERY school. when we moved, I made it clear I could not move to that town and teach. LOL
Except, my rival school is my husband's fav! Nothing like a divided home (hee hee)
No guess on the school, but I love those bracelets!!

ReplyDeleteWe just saw paracord bracelets in Home Depot the other day. They called them survival bracelets I think. Apparently you cut the cord at some magical place and you end up with enough cord to dangle yourself off a cliff or something like that. Knowing me, I'd cut it in the wrong place and end up with 47 pieces of 2 inch paracord which would be good for....well nothing actually. While I doubt their use in matters of survival, I LOVE the idea of using them for a classroom reward! I need to go get some green and white cord! Thanks for adding something else to my 'to-do' list!
