Bare Boards + Silhouette = Awesome!

Command strips and your Silhouette can turn your walls and whiteboards into an organized area.
If you do not have 3M poster strips, go get some now. Right now. Before everyone goes back to school and off to college because they are impossible to find then. I'll wait...

These babies are lifesavers, especially when you can't use tape or putty or anything on your freshly-painted walls.
Here's a tip to get more bang for your buck - cut them in half length-wise! They are plenty strong for small posters and...
clothespins!!! I use them with my clothespins all of the time. I first used them to hang up Boggle letters on my wall (so the letters were interchangeable!) Make sure that some of the extra part that you pull to release the strip is sticking out the bottom, or top, I guess, of the clothespin. Otherwise you might peel off some paint when you take them down.
Attach half of a Command strip to a clothespin to create No Name and Absent Work areas.
But now, if you look very closely, you will see the clothespins on my newly-designed whiteboard in the back of my room. I wanted to make those cute no name wooden hangers for my wall, but I don't have enough patience (or tools) for woodworking. This is my solution. I'm also using them to hang up assignments for students who have been gone. That way it's no longer my responsibility! Add in the vinyl that I cut with my Silhouette, and I have a fully-functional board!

Here is everything in (mock) use. I wrote the student's name next to the clothespin holding his assignments. For the No Late Work Club (if you don't what that is, click here), these will either be magnets with the students' pictures, names, or numbers. I haven't decided yet. And then I always list what work is missing with their names.

So this is everything for the organizational, must-have, and made-it linkies! Don't forget about the {blog hop} and {20% off sale}!

  1. Great ideas! I love your organization on the bulletin board. So simple yet so effective. I might have to use some of those ideas. I didn't know you could get CONTACT strips for posters. Now I will have to hunt some of those down too! Hope you are enjoying your game!

  4. I love the permanent spot for No Name papers. I have magnets that I random put up on my board but I think Cricuting out some letters and having a permanent space would be great. Thanks for the clever idea!

  5. Every now and again I see a post and think "Brilliant! Why didn't I think of that!" This was one of those posts. :) I will definitely be slicing apart my command strips and using them on clothespins. Thanks for the great idea!

  11. I love to use the 3M strips. They stay up all year and don't fall off the wall like hot glue does. I was short of the poster strips last year and cut them in half to hang up posters. I will do that from now on. Thanks for sharing your ideas!

  12. I LOVE the 3M strips. Luckly, my school is, oh, 2 blocks from the 3M building, so we have a lifetime supply of them. Perhaps I will take some and give them away in a give-a-way in the future!!! I like this board. I am adding it to my list of things to do!!!!!!

  13. That is awesome! I used clothespins last year with thumb tacks hot glued, they worked. I tried it again this year with the clothespins I put washi tape on, but as I was putting them up on the wall they would pop off the thumb tack. I think I will try this method. Thank you!
